Nigel Hall, President
Born in Manchester, England, Nigel graduated from the University of Bradford Management Center and began a career in IT.

As a database systems specialist, Nigel moved to California and managed databases for many of the largest companies in the Bay Area.

A move into product management had Nigel working for a number of technology startups before starting his own marketing consultancy specializing in storage technologies. Nigel's client list included some of the largest and most well-known technology companies in the Bay Area.

After a consulting engagement for the developer of the most popular birding app for the iPhone, Nigel pursued a relationship with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and eventually licensed exclusive rights to the Peterson series of field guides.

Appweavers Inc. was founded to develop outdoors apps under the Peterson brand and using content from the Peterson field guides. The company's first app, Peterson Birds of North America was released in December 2010. In January 2012, the app was named 2011 Best App Ever in the outdoors category by 148Apps.com.

In October, 2013, Apple featured Peterson Birds in the iPad Air introduction keynote video.

Nigel lives in Northern California with his wife and two sons. When not performing herculean feats for Appweavers, Nigel can be found making pizza in his own wood-fired pizza oven, hiking around Marin, and correcting people who are wrong on the internet.
